Carson decoder for easily converting all Scalextric vehicles to Carrera Digital. All Scalextric models that are equipped with the DPR designation can be converted.
(and these are actually all the common ones from the last 10 years)
The Carson Carrera Digital Chip Decoder is very easy to install.
A safety car or ghost car function is not integrated. The use of the tank function is only possible with the Control Unit.
The light lights up when driving. To operate with the parking light and brake light function, the two cables provided must be fixed to the lighting cables.

Tip: In a few older Scalextric vehicles the CU beeps. This is due to the built-in interference suppression capacitor of more than 50 nanofarads. Then simply snap this off.
The decoder does not fit in the Scalextric F1. The decoder only fits in vehicles marked with DPR (Digital Plug Ready).
Installation instructions:
1. Unscrew the DPR cover screw on the underside of the vehicle and then remove the cover from the chassis.
2. Disconnect the existing plug connection between the analog board of the cover and the vehicle.
3. Connect the plug of the digital board to the cable socket of the vehicle.
4. Insert the cover with the digital board into the chassis and fasten it again using the screw.
