Unfortunately, it has to be said that the standard vehicles have nothing to do with slot racing. Crooked axles, crooked rims, bad engines and randomly installed magnets make driving for the ambitious slot racer not exactly fun. 95% of users are satisfied with it and that's the way it should be. The manufacturer speaks of "children's toys". However, if we want to compete with others and become a little more professional, we have to go into the tuning area.
Like a big car, the engine isn't everything. Tires are at least as important.
Straight axles and rims round off the whole thing. If you want, you can also refine it with ball bearings.

And that's how it's done. The starting point is a Carrera Digital 132 or Evolution Inliner (engine is longitudinal in the vehicle)

Required accessories:

Phillips screwdriver and Allen key - for NSR in 1.3 mm - for Slot it in 0.95 mm - in the shop under tools you will find a large selection from different manufacturers.

rear axle :
SIKK07 - slot.it
The Slot it rear axle kits include everything we need for the conversion. Some Carrera models require minor reworking because the axle pinion sometimes hits the chassis and/or the bolt, blocking everything. Just have a file and/or Dremel handy and the problem is solved.

alternatively the silver bullet: NSR 9111 directly with glued and ground tires!

Tires :
51b - This is what tires should look like and feel like. Unfortunately, this is not the case with production vehicles.

guide keel
7500009
The guide keel from Frankenslot is recommended here because, in contrast to the digital guide keel from Carrera, it does not fall off constantly even after prolonged use and thus ends the race.

Front axle ( who wants )

sipa0145 (45mm)
sipa0151 (51mm)
sipa0154 (54mm)
Better a little too long, you can always shorten it, it will be difficult to mend. If you want it to be really classy, you can go in front – and only in front! - Drive carbon axles. That brings a few grams more, but flutters more.

Alternatively also here from NSR:
NSR4801 NSR4802

axle distances_
NSR 4810;4811;4812;4813;4814, etc..
With the axle distances we set the fine play of the axle. These parts belong in every slot case.

SIW17308225A as rims to match the rear axle. In this set there are only the rims without inserts, so we still need the above axle(s)

from NSR: NSR5003

Sipa02 (Bronze axle bearing)
Professional axle bearings (please exchange them for the ones installed as standard.) For the rear axle, they are included in the Sikk07 set

from NSR: 4803

Tires no grip for front axle
sipt07 - We only need the front tires to support the vehicle. If you want, your wife or girlfriend can play nail polish and seal it additionally. The less grip - the better!

from NSR:

NSR5230

Engine:
Everyone has different preferences here. To recommend a motor for all tracks and all slot racers would be nonsense. Some competitors import engines from China and of course also recommend these, as they make the most money here. We only carry goods from large series manufacturers (but they also come from China ^^

Useful are:

NSR3040 (20000rpm)
NSR3041 (21500rpm)
NSR3043 (25000rpm)
NSR3046 (28000rpm)
NSR3042 (32000rpm)

alternative for smaller $$$ , but still great performance :
SR181P52500A

All specifications for 12 volts. Please note that your Carrera digital train supplies almost 15 volts, so the values here are quite a bit higher.

Please think of the gears for the motor. As standard, the Digital 132 vehicles have a 9-speed plastic pinion on the motor, which you can no longer use once you have removed it.
SIGMA manufactures good plastic sprockets (item SG8502)

Brass sprockets (SG8213 or SG1198) are definitely better. However, you will need a sprocket press tool and puller for assembly and disassembly. There are many products on the market, we have tested (almost) all of them and got stuck here: SITL01 . The price hurts, but it's the ultimate tool and prepares
really joy !!

Lubricants:

Well-oiled motors (only the shaft, not the whole motor) run faster and more smoothly.
In our shop you will find a lot of different oils. Look for a needle on the bottle so you can get to the areas to be oiled more easily.

The gears are lubricated with a ceramic grease, oil would be on the track in the next curve. Tamiya gear grease has proven to be particularly suitable here.
